The School Committee has voted to approve A.L.I.C.E. training – which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate – in order to teach best practices in the event of the unimaginable. “I don’t think you have to support this, but I was just going to ask if the School Committee would be supportive of us moving to a K-12 adoption of A.L.I.C.E.,” Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Price said to the committee before their vote. “As we go forward and roll this out with parents, having the School Committee approval I think would be very important to us.” Read more
