Charleston High School is holding a meeting to help educate residents about a new program next month. Assistant Principal Timothy Keefe says the A.L.I.C.E. program, which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate, is an essential tool in the district. Keefe says in January, the district plans to host a parent night. He says parent involvement is great for the program but it’s important to let the professionals do their job. There will actually be four meetings on January 14th at 6:30 P.M. One at Ashmore Elementary, Carl Sandburg, Charleston High, and Mark Twain. All parents are welcome to attend. Read more
