Events like these naturally terrify us, so it helps to have a game plan– some countermeasures, even. That’s exactly what Larry Cser, Public Safety manager, has set out to do. On Feb. 22, Cser held a seminar in Heritage Hall, where he laid out the game plan in case of an attack here at Owens.“Why can’t it happen here? Ever ask yourself what you’d do?” he asked his audience. During a Powerpoint presentation, Cser described the merits of the A.L.I.C.E. According to Cser, A.L.I.C.E. is teaching a proactive response instead of a reactive response, such as collective efforts against the attack, piling onto the intruder, subduing them or taking his or her weapon.
