On February 16, 2019 in Mendon, Massachusetts, a woman was visiting with her husband who is in the military. They went to dinner as a family at a local mall with their children when shots were fired. There was immediate chaos with large of quantities of people distancing themselves form the danger. The woman, a teacher, had recently been ALICE trained and she knew she had to decide what she was going to do. She and her family were able to safety evacuate the mall. There were no fatalities in this incident.
