Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support in Richmond, VA hosted a two-day  Active Shooter Training Instructor Course known as ALICE, “Moving Beyond Lockdown” for DLA law enforcement, Department of Education employees, and other law enforcement personnel from all across the United States on Jan. 9 – 10 at the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center in Richmond, Va.  The training covered lessons learned and the correlation between Columbine, Virginia Tech and Sandy Hook Elementary School as these studies indicate the need to change how to respond to an active shooter event.  The training concluded with attendees donning protective gear and participating in intense mock active shooter drills.
