Bomb Threat in 2016 Sparks Emergency Management Upgrades at Berlin Schools

Berlin Public Schools  – Berlin, NH

According to Berlin New Hampshire’s local news sources, “A bomb threat last year directed at Berlin Middle School prompted action to revise the plans and policy when dealing with emergency hostile situations including bomb threats or active shooter incidents.”

Not only were there similar bomb threat reports coming from New Hampshire, they were being reported by states all over the country (Massachusetts, Colorado, Delaware, Minnesota, Utah and Wisconsin) as well as abroad (United Kingdom). With the help of Homeland Security, grants, and a concerned citizenry, “a number of measures have since been taken to upgrade the emergency system”, including Active Shooter Response Training with ALICE.
