Sponsored by the Michigan State Police, the ALICE Training will bring its two-day instructor course to Brighton Township Hall. “It empowers people to protect themselves,” Trooper Andrew Knapp of the Brighton post said. “On average, it takes law enforcement six (minutes) to eight minutes to get to the scene of an active shooter. In those six to eight minutes, people have to survive. ALICE teaches you how to survive.” ALICE is a useful strategy for everyone, including law enforcement, schools, universities, hospitals, businesses and places of worship, organizers said. Read more
