District Administrators Meet with Parents Regarding School Threat and Procedures

Menomonie High School- Menomonie, WI

Administrators from the School District of the Menomonie Area met with the public on Monday night to discuss the recent threat that may cause classes to be cancelled district-wide on Wednesday. Administrators also discussed the ALICE plan, a new strategy for lockdown procedures that stands for “Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate”. The district made the transition to the plan this year, and all staff members have been trained in the ALICE plan. Some district schools have undergone ALICE practice with students, while other schools are scheduled to learn the plan of action in the near future. Read more
