Staffers are preparing for any emergency. On Thursday, teachers gathered at the middle school to take on ALICE, an acronym for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate. All district employees are getting lessons provided by Alice Training Institute of Medina, Ohio. The proactive strategies meant to increase chances of survival when an armed intruder is in a school. “This is part of the ongoing emergency management planning that the district is conducting,” said Superintendent Bart Rocco.
