Bethany Hayes, director of the Zanesville Campus Public Safety Department, presented ALICE training to the Guernsey Noble Safety Council during the group’s June meeting. The purpose of this training is to share survival options with workplaces, to partner with the community to maximize survivability in extreme situations and to be able to respond to what we know in the event of a crisis. The crisis that was discussed was response to critical incidents, with a potential killer looking for easy targets and the chance to kill as many victims as possible in order to achieve their “place in history” as a mass killer.
