The Ohio Revised Code has increased the number of safety lockdown drills for schools this year from one to three. Students across the district have already participated in their first lockdown drill and have had a refresher in Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate (ALiCE) training. ALICE enhances traditional lockdown with common sense and proactive responses that could help protect students and staff. All students and staff members have been trained on barricade and other tactics to distract and confuse an intruder. Read more
