Knoxville’s school teachers will take part in an all-day ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate) training on Wednesday, Aug. 26. This training is designed to help everyone react and get out of a dangerous situation inside a school building, should a threat arise. School Resource Officer Kyle Keller said that the teachers will be divided into two different groups. Each will take part in a training session, held inside the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, followed by a practical scenario event at the high school or middle school, dependent upon the group involved. This is the first year of the training on such a broad scale.
