When preparing for the possibility of active shooters, schools used to use lockdown drills. But now there is a new tactic at Green Bay Area Public School District called ALICE, which stands for: alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate. “It’s no longer we’re just going to stick in this room hope nobody breaks in and gets us, now they get some choices,” said Vicki Bayer, Associate Principal at Lombardi Middle School.
