Greg Myers, Millbury’s superintendent of schools implements ALICE. Myers has made school safety a priority since arriving in the district and the warm relations between the police and the educators is a direct result of that. From his first meeting with teachers last August, Myers has pledged to tackle school safety head on, and he has. We have seen the implementation of the ALICE (Alert- Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuate) program at the school and have had training sessions conducted by people such as Sgts. Lewos and McFaul (as well as all the officers who have helped us with our training), something that school personnel have been crying out for in recent years. Read more
