FITCHBURG — Police, fire and emergency medical personnel from throughout North Worcester County met recently at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School to learn about the school’s new comprehensive safety initiatives. The first-of-its-kind School Safety Seminar included a tour of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center, a discussion of the school’s recently implemented lockdown model, known as ALICE (Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate Training), a demonstration of the upgraded surveillance camera system and a student panel discussion.
