On Jan. 5 Needham school officials discussed the introduction of a new safety protocol ALICE, Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate. During this week’s School Committee meeting, Needham Public School Director of Human Resources Tom Campbell presented the new protocol, which is intended to improve the current safety lockdown system. Needham High School has begun the training process for ALICE and according to Superintendant Dan Gutekanst, training could start at other schools in the coming years. Read more
