“What we used to do was just lock down. Sit in the classroom and hope nobody comes in. That doesn’t work anymore. It’s been proven it doesn’t work anymore. So we’re upgrading and showing teachers what we need to do,” said Sgt. Chris Moore, Pittsburg Police. It’s a situation these police officers hope to never find themselves in.
