Plum School District Conducting Active Shooter Training for Staff Members

Plum Borough School District- Plum, PA 

The Plum Borough School District is moving forward this spring with active shooter training for its staff, which the Safe & Supportive Schools Committee pushed to have offered before the end of the school year. “Our goal is to train all full-time employees by the start of the ’16-’17 school year,” Superintendent Timothy Glasspool said. The training being offered now is voluntary, but Glasspool said 183 employees have been trained so far. Mandatory training will be held in August. Glasspool said all 350 full-time district employees who work during the school day are required to have the training. Read more
