Against the backdrop of violent incidents across the country, school administrators have put added focus on security procedures. Currently Rapid City schools do practice lockdowns with the students and with the staff in each building and what we are looking for with those lockdowns is a consistency in approach,” said Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services Brad Berens. They are also exploring new ways to prepare for an intruder.
