Viroqua Area School District- Viroqua, WI 

The Viroqua Area School District continues with its ALICE (alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate) building safety training, which included inservice training for staff, Wednesday, Jan. 21. According to Viroqua High School Principal Kathy Klos, the Viroqua Police Department assisted staff training at the elementary school and middle school/high school. Viroqua Elementary School Principal Ryan Rieber led the staff training at the elementary school. Viroqua School District Dean of Students Eric Anderson led the staff training at the middle school/high school.“Once students have had training in all three buildings, we will formulate a plan to practice,” according to Klos. “In the meantime, the teachers are having on-going discussions with their classes, making a plan and knowing what resources are available in their classrooms to use, where the nearest exits are, etc.” Read more
