Prepare your organization to effectively respond to emergencies.

Equip your staff with the skills to survive violent incidents through ALICE Active Shooter Response Training, the original civilian active shooter response program.

What Is ALICE Training®?

ALICE is the original civilian active shooter response training program delivered with a trauma-informed approach in an age- and ability-appropriate way.

A

Alert – Be aware of your surroundings and recognize signs of danger through your senses or notifications like mobile alerts, emails, or announcements.

L

Lockdown – ALICE’s enhanced Lockdown strategy buys time and fortifies safety when evacuation isn’t possible, keeping individuals secure until help arrives.

I

Inform – Use real-time information to make informed decisions during an emergency, guiding actions like evacuation or lockdown.

C

Counter – As a last resort, Counter involves creating noise, movement, and distraction to disrupt the intruder’s focus. It is not synonymous with fighting.

E

Evacuate – If safe, evacuate to distance yourself from the threat, using any available exits and moving to designated rally points, which should be practiced during drills.

ALICE Training® is not designed to be sequential nor is it meant to be a checklist. ALICE teaches response options that can be used to stay safe in the event of a violent intruder.

See How Others Are Preparing With ALICE Training®

“ALICE Training® is important because it allows you to be better prepared in a situation of a violent critical incident or active shooter situation.

You get almost this ripple effect when ALICE comes to your organization. You get team members that go through the training, and are talking about it then, after the fact, with their families…Ultimately, it’s good information to know, good information to share.

Everybody should go through this training – young or old.”

“They start realizing this is not a workplace skill. These are life skills.”
Richard Brown

“If there is any organization that is on the fence…I can’t imagine if they had children in a school not having this training and explaining to them what the outcome could be if they do nothing.”
Jamey Appel
Police Officer, City of Beachwood
“You start with denial; this can’t really be happening. But you can’t stand there in denial.”
