Police to Receive Active Shooter Training

Police Chief Brandon Bell informed Bettsville Village Council Tuesday evening the department is to receive ALICE – alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate – training to prepare for an active shooter situation in the village. New officer Brittany Twigg, acting as liaison to Old Fort Elementary School, is to work with school officials to formulate a plan and have it prepared for the October council meeting. Read more
