When the school year starts back up again, Sharon City Schools will be better prepared if faced with an active shooter. The Sharon Police Department and Sharon City School District have teamed up to bring A.L.I.C.E. Instructor Training to Sharon High School. Chief Gerald Smith of the Sharon Police Department says, “This training helps school officials and staff know what to do in an emergency situation. Locking down is not enough.” Chief Smith said individuals will be participating in different scenarios involving emergency situations, even using air-soft guns. Read more
