2017 Fort Lauderdale Airport Shooting Prompts ALICE Training in Oregon

Central Point Police Department – Jackson County, Oregon

On Friday, January 6, a shooting took place at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. According to officials, Five people were killed and eight others were wounded. (CNN has more information on this devastating event.) Due to these events (and too many similar events in recent years), the Central Point Police Department in Jackson County, Oregon has decided to host an ALICE Training course for the public to help individuals understand what they can do in an active shooter situation.
