County and School Staff Receive Emergency Response Training

Mitchell County Courthouse & Osage School District- Osage, IA In the past two weeks, both Mitchell County Courthouse and Osage School District employees have participated in ALICE training, in an effort to give their employees additional education on how to respond in an emergency situation. ALICE stands for Alert Lockdown Inform Counter Evacuate, and the need for it has been on the rise as attacks against schools and courthouses have grown over the past decade.
Part of the training instructed county and school officials to be more vigilant, watching for things which look suspicious and out of place while also listening for things which raise “red flags” and need to be immediately reported to law enforcement. Read more
